A complete playthrough of Capcom's 1997 Sony Playstation platformer, Mega Man X4. Played through as X, all upgrades and power-ups collected. I couldn't hold back on this one anymore, I had to finally upload a playthrough of my all-time favorite X game. I never thought that the series would impress me more than the first game on the SNES, but this blew me away back when I first got my PlayStation with it's incredible sprite work, Capcom-except-on-crack soundtrack (omg this is like a vibrator for your ear drums), and some really cool bosses and level designs. This, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and Final Fantasy VII were really the main three games that sold me on the PlayStation for the sheer number of things they all do that was impossible on my then creaky SNES and Genesis decks. Any fan of Capcom, Mega Man, platformers, or hyper-anime aesthetics featuring high-pitched whiny girl voices should have already played this. If you fit into any of those groups and haven't played it: run, don't walk, to your Google search bar and right that wrong immediately. :) No need for thanks, I'm just looking out for my fellow gaming enthusiasts ;) Hahaha! Played by xRavenXP (me) THANKS FOR THE 2K SUBS. I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS! This is the longplay of the game Mega Man X4, which is the fourth game of the Mega Man X franchise. It was originally released in 1997 for the Sega Saturn and Playstation and for PC in 1998. This time, an army that also fights the Marvericks, called Repliforce and led by the giant General and the proud Colonel. After an attack on the city of Sky Lagoon that ended up destroying many lives Repliforce joins the Marvericks initiating a coup d'etat to depose the humans of control, it is then up to the Maverick Hunters to end the radical ideals of Repliforce! This game is one of the best in the X saga without a doubt, besides implementing totally new graphics and having scenes in FMV, and besides playing with X, you also have the possibility to play with Zero, that uses its lightsaber integrally to destroy the enemies. Each of the playable characters has significant changes in the story and each has the help of a supervisor (X counts with the help of Double and Zero is supervised by Iris). The game was a real improvement over the previous three, the only thing that leaves a little to be desired is the exploration a bit too easy. Yet it's a wonderful game that deserves to be played by all! The video includes everything: all parts of the armor (whose capsules only appear for X), all hearts and subtanks and all video was played with both characters collecting all items. Hope you like it. This is also the last in the X Legacy Collection 1. It’s also the first game on the PS1 released in 1998, two years after Mega Man X4. Thing was, Sony turned it down twice but Capcom stuck to their guns and eventually it was green lit. The story for it is rather weak but does it stop anyone from enjoying the game? Absolutely not. Considering that I wish I had an Elgato HD 60, the game is running at 30 fps. What can you do? I’m not rich like those other guys. Anyway, I’ll be having this in 2 different playthroughs. This time with better quality than that shitty one I have uploaded. Using X Collections to play through Mega Man X4 The volume may be a little loud. The initial recording had low volume. I just realized that this one is actually a pretty good Mega Man game, sans the lulzy voice acting (especially X) Throughout the run: -Dash and jumping -Boss weakness abused for the first time through. At boss redux, I do a buster beatdown-weakness abuse thing. -A few deaths here and there Notes: Sky Lagoon: easy stage. Egregion was easy. Boss music is friggin' epic!! Shame is it wasted. =( Web Spider: easy stage. I get the boots upgrade and I don't sit still. "Negotiating"...what? Split Mushroom: death at the area with the Heart Tank. Was trying to get to it. Wasn't thinking. Abused weakness. Cyber Peacock: bumrushed the hell out of the first part. Soul Body makes it LOL to get S Rank. Helmet upgrade makes the game easy due to infinite Weapon Energy. Cyber Peacock running into me. -_- Storm Owl: Stom. Ahooooohl. Ride Armor allows me to bumrush. Died 2 times in the second area getting the Buster upgrade(s). Tricky stuff. Spammed Aiming Laser cursor. Memorial Hall: Colonel - easy fight. Magma Dragoon: bumrushing. Didn't opt to use Ride Armor against Dragoon. Fun fact: localization used "Irregular" on the boss intro. "Irregular" is what we know as "Maverick". After completing the stage, I head to Web Spider's stage to get a Heart Tank. Frost Walrus: Cameos from two bosses. Took top path because. Backtracked a bit for the Heart Tank. Abused Rising Fire on mid-boss. Everything was straightforward in the second part. Jet Stingray: Land Chaser stage. Still remembered on how to get the Heart Tank (been like almost 2 years since I played this game.) On the second section, Jet Stingray was being an ass while I was trying to net the E-Tank, which I did without dying. o_o "Yeaaaaaaaaaaah!" Slash Beast: straightforward stage. Plasma Shot raeping the midboss. Went back to Magma Dragoon's stage to the body upgrade. Space Port: straightforward. Wanted to use a few special weapons, but Twin Slasher (my favorite) wasn't getting the job done. So much fail on Colonel. It is Frost Tower's fault. Shit's hard to use. Final Weapon 1: First section is straightforward. Double fight managed. Weakness is Double Cyclone, but that will only make shit worse. "Destroy! Evil slash!" For the second section, I take the top path. Apparently, the General has a weakness: Twin Slasher. I found out REALLY late that charged Twin Slasher goes through things. -_- Final Weapon 2: Had distractions, so that is why the E-Tanks are empty. -_- (and this could've been in one part, but nooooooo). 8 boss redux. Buster beatdown with some boss weakness abuse. Showdown with baldy (I like X4's Sigma. Dat scythe.) At Sigma 1, Rising Fire HAS to be abused. "Are you ready for round 2!?" Simple AI and made the scythe get stuck on the walls. At Sigma 3, I was failing so hard. It's the weakness, man. For the "Gun Sigma", his weakness is Soul Body, but is pretty hard to hit with. For "Head Sigma", Ground Hunter is his weakness, but it is sometimes hard to use (especially the attack that sucks...literally.)

Now we’re moving onto Zero’s tale. It’s here where story takes a main focus especially on Zero’s side. From X1-X3, we know very little about Zero other than he was a Maverick Hunter and was X’s life long comrade and friend. But it’s here where we learn the truth. Dr. Thomas Light created X, as the first robot with the ability to think, feel and make his own decisions. Dr. Albert Wily on the other hand, created Zero aka DWN-Infinity. Zero was made as a last gamble in the hopes of finally riding the world of his rival and Mega Man. Sadly he died before he could ever see it happen. Heck Zero wouldn’t see the light of day until a century or so later. I’ll be explaining that when Part 5 comes. Compared to X, Zero specializes in CQC aka close quarters combat. His main weapon is the Z-Saber and he can perform a three hit combo with ease. He also has access to various techniques that he can use to defeat enemies. Defeating each Maverick unlocks a technique for him to use. In other words, you will need these to make him better and stronger. We tackle all the Mavericks here so expect this to be quite a fight. From here, it’s nothing but tragedy. It also leads into quotes that are just memeworthy, to the point that Lucas Gilbertson, the voice of Zero from X8, Command Mission and Maverick Hunter X recited the exact line… and did a better job. I have no disrespect towards Wayne Doster or anything. The guy is a good actor and all but yeah… at least in Rockman X4, Ryotaro Okiayu really delivered his lines well. It’s here we also learn that Zero was in fact a Maverick, or Irregular. Commander Sigma investigated only to have a clash against Zero. It ended with Sigma victorious and the virus that was within Zero would pass on to Sigma. I don’t know if this gets retconned in Maverick Hunter X with Sigma deciding to be Maverick at will but this was interesting to say the least. Sigma really was a jerk. Compared to X, Zero is in fact harder this time around due to his close range combat but judging by this, it’s not as bad. Zero is really fun to use though. Overall Mega Man X4 is still a fun game. It holds up, despite its flaws and I should give credit where credit’s due. Capcom stuck to their guns and delivered. What happens next? Simple. The X Challenge Vol. 1 but I’m doing it on Easy to show everything then I’ll try my luck on Normal. It won’t be pretty. I forgot to mention how to get the codes in X4. They can be done at the character select screen. For Ultimate Armor (X): Press B twice, Left 6 times, hold L and RT and press + until the game start. X’s body will be blue and purple. Then head for Web Spider’s stage, go to the capsule and you get the Ultimate Armor. For Black Zero: Hold R, press R six times. Release R, hold B and press +. That’s it. Today, I will show you how to install Mega Man X4 on to your PC. Should work on a x64 bit system. You will need to download Winrar to extract the file! Winrar: 🤍 Mega Man X4 Install files: 🤍 All I did was convert the original songs from Mega Man X4's OST so that they could play in the game. How to: 1) Run "Mega Man X4 Installer.exe", install it wherever you'd like. 2) Once installed, copy the contents of "Replacements" into the root of where you installed Mega Man X4. 3) After the files have been copied, run the MMX4.exe 4) If videos do not play, visit 🤍 and install the appropriate codec. 5) After codec installation, run MMX4.exe again.
